What Are Poppers?

Poppers are a liquid that is inhaled as it evaporates. In the United States, poppers are illegal, but are often sold behind the counter in many sex stores. Sometimes they are sold as video head cleaner or room odorizers. It's primary ingredient is the same chemical used in many heart medications and causes the body's blood vessels to dialate, providing additional oxygen to the brain, which many users describe as a rush feeling. In addition to causing the blood vessels to dialate, large smooth muscles in the body relax and become more flexible.

What Are The Effects?

Low Doses

  • Feelings of a "rush"
  • Increased heart rate
  • Relaxation of large muscle groups

Higher Doses

  • Lowered blood pressure
  • Unconsciousness

Safer Usage Tips

  • You should avoid mixing poppers and viagra, cialis or other similar drugs as they could cause an sudden decrease in blood pressure.
  • To avoid spilling or over using poppers, it's best to pour a little of the liquid on to a cotton ball, and place the cotton ball inside a plastic bag.
