What Is GHB?

GHB is a liquid that was originally designed as a sleep agent or anesthetic that was used in child birth. Both GBL and B are convered in the body to GHB. As a central nervous system depressant, their effects are similar to alcohol, giving the feeling of relaxation, sociability and reduced inhibitions. Some users report an increase feeling of sexual arousal when using G. Much like alcohol, some users have reported people look more attractive when they are using G, copying the term, "beer goggles" to "G goggles".

What Are The Effects?

Low Doses

  • Feelings of relaxation
  • Lowered inhibitions
  • Increased sociability
  • Increased sexual arousal

Higher Doses

  • Dizziness
  • Nauseas and vomiting
  • Muscle spasms
  • Unconsciousness, including loss of bodily functions
  • Inability to hold airway open, and when combined with vomiting, death

Safer Usage Tips

  • Be very careful when measuring your doses, a 2ml is a typical dosage, and 4ml can cause unconsciousness!
  • Use a measuring device of some kind when measuring your doses to help prevent accidental overdoses.
  • Time your doses to a specific time each hour, or hour and a half, write it down, or send yourself a text message.
  • Wait at least one hour between doses, more if you're doing GBL or B, the effects can come on suddenly
  • NEVER mix G with alcohol or other depressants/sedatives
  • Don't ever put G in a water bottle, it is too easy to mistake it for water, and drink too much.
  • If you feel dizzy, sick or "swirly", get help immedately. Find a friend, MedEvent, or someone you trust.
  • Make sure a friend know's how much you're taking, and what your dosing schedule is.

What Else Should I Know?

  • If someone has overdosed, and goes unconscious, get help immediately
  • Keep them lying down on their side, or sitting up, so if they vomit, they don't choke on it.
  • In the United States and many other countries, G is illegal, and posession can result in prison terms.

Don't Forget To Eat

Eating a "meal" off a pen cap or keys isn't a meal. Try to get at least 2 real meals a day, every day.
